David Njoku finds the endzone on fun screen design in Browns vs. Seahawks

The Cleveland Browns cut down the lead of the Seattle Seahawks! After a rough start offensively, the Cleveland offense got rolling on three straight screen plays on fun designs from head coach Kevin Stefanski. This drive was capped as tight end David Njoku was on the receiving end of an 18-yard touchdown from quarterback P.J. Walker.

Running backs Kareem Hunt and Pierre Strong Jr. took two previous screens for big gains, including 41 yards from Strong. This, amazingly, is Njoku’s first trip to the endzone on the season for the Browns. He has stacked three straight solid outings for the Browns as they continue to start their backup quarterback, and he is finally rewarded with a trip to the endzone.

The score is now 17-7 as the Browns are looking to scratch their way back into the game. Defensively, however, the Cleveland defense has not provided any resistance to Geno Smith and the Seattle offense. They finally held Seattle to just three points on the third possession of the game.

Still in the first quarter, there is plenty of time to turn this game around.
