West Ham United manager David Moyes has revealed that he was always confident that his side were going to return to winning ways against Everton on Saturday.
Two first half goals from Jarrod Bowen sealed a 2-0 victory for the Hammers to take them out of the relegation zone, their first victory in almost three months.
Speaking after the result, Moyes said that he felt confident going into the game that his side would win it, despite going into the game after picking up just one point from a possible 21 in their last seven league games.

"I have to say, I think the biggest strength I’ve had is I’ve had a board behind me who are really supportive, have backed me, maybe makes it a lot easier," said Moyes. "If it was different, you would maybe ask me a different question.
"I still believe there are some things the board don’t want to do, they don’t want to make any changes so I had great confidence. I also believed that I would win today, I did. I thought that I’d win today and I thought we have to turn the tide, we can’t keep going the way it has been.
"I thought Danny Ings’ introduction yesterday as well gave us all a little bit of a good feeling that things could change and for that, it worked out well. But also my experience as well has got me to the stage where I am saying ‘okay, these things can happen.’
"I’m quite cool about the thing but inside, I’m obviously wanting to win because I’m so disappointed that I’ve not been able to win for the past seven/eight games or whatever it’s been now."
