West Ham United manager David Moyes admits he cannot really say much about supporters’ chants after their 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.
The Hammers sealed their first away Premier League win since August at Craven Cottage as Harrison Reed’s first half own goal saw West Ham move three points clear of the bottom three and climbed up to 13th in the table.
Despite the victory, the away end vented their frustrations at Moyes shortly after the hour mark when making a double substitution.

In the second half, Moyes made a double change with Danny Ings and Pablo Fornals coming off for Said Benrahma and Flynn Downes, with the away end singing “you don’t know what you’re doing” at Moyes.
There was also a banner with “Moyes out” written on it that could be seen in the away end. Asked about the chant and the banner, Moyes was tight-lipped in his response.
“I can’t really answer that. can I?” said the Scot. “They can do that if they choose to do so.”
Moyes was later asked if chants against his own players can be distracting, especially when his team were winning a game.
He said that while it can be a distraction, he has been delighted with the way his players responded after losing 5-1 to Newcastle United less than 72 hours ago.
“It can do, yes,” added Moyes. “But I have to say, the players’ response and how they’ve gone about it, how we all were after the midweek result, we sort of pulled together today to get the result which we did do, magnificently led by Declan [Rice] and the players.
“I have to say, it was a good, strong performance by the players.”
