West Ham United manager David Moyes has provided an injury and illness update on seven of his players ahead of facing Manchester United on Sunday night.
For the 3-0 defeat against Manchester City on Wednesday, captain Declan Rice, centre-back Nayef Aguerd and midfielder Tomas Soucek were all forced to withdraw just hours before kick-off after coming down with an illness.
However, ahead of facing the Red Devils on Sunday, the Hammers ’ trio have all trained ahead of the weekend.

“They’ve been in today, so today was the first day we’ve had chance to assess them,” said Moyes. “They’ve done a little bit of training so I’m hoping that they will all be available for the weekend.”
However, one other player was sent home from the club’s training ground on Friday with illness, while another player has also said he is struggling with it
Moyes said he and the club do not know the cause of it, but they are keen to try and contain it ahead of the weekend.
“We’ve got a couple of other people who have [been ill],” Moyes explained. “One other player was sent home this morning and we’ve got another one who just said he didn’t feel so good. We’ve just got to hope that we can contain it.
“No, we don’t, I don’t know if it’s just something we’ve picked up but it looks as if it’s just sickness. The players are getting over it pretty quickly.”
French centre-back Kurt Zouma missed the game due to an ankle injury sustained in last Saturday’s 4-3 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Speaking on it, Moyes said he did not want to give a timeline of it, with Zouma often returning from issues quicker than scheduled.
“No, we’re not going to give a sort of timeline on Kurt because we know he is a boy who does improve very quickly, but he’s also got an ankle injury, so we’ve not really got a date for it,” added Moyes.
Another player who will miss the meeting with the Red Devils in right-back Vladimir Coufal, who came off at the Etihad Stadium in midweek with a hamstring issue.
Moyes did not say how severe the issue was, but the club hope it is not a long-term one.
“He won't be available for this game, so we will need to see how he is going forward,” said Moyes.
“He's hurt his hamstring, we're not quite exactly sure how bad, but we're hoping that it's not too bad.”
