David Moyes has confirmed no bids have been submitted for West Ham captain Declan Rice this summer, despite Manchester United previously registering an interest in the player.
Having missed out on a central midfield signing last summer, key figures in the Old Trafford boardroom earmarked Rice as their priority target heading into this window. However, when Erik ten Hag was appointed, the club turned their attention to Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong.
An agreement in principle worth €65million was reached over the Netherlands international, but Barca and De Jong continue to drag their heels. Either way, his signature would cost United significantly less than the fee being bandied around for England midfielder Rice.

Speaking about Rice to the Daily Mail, ex-United coach Moyes said: "No bids. We wouldn't be taking any, anyway. We've said all along he's not for sale."
When addressing Rice's value, Moyes added: "I certainly wouldn't put a price on it. The owners think he's worth £100million - I completely disagree with that. You can decide which figure you want to put on it, but I wouldn't be sanctioning anything like that, that's for sure.
"I think every player will have a price in football, whoever you name. Even [Lionel] Messi has a price.
"At the moment, we have had no contact for Declan and I am not in a hurry to lose him, as you can imagine. Declan seems very settled and in fact he is captaining West Ham, plays for England and I want to keep Declan thinking that his ambitions can be achieved here at West Ham. I will have to keep pushing that and keep on pushing that with the owners as well."
