West Ham United boss David Moyes admits he has a number of injury concerns ahead of facing Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
The Hammers’ boss would not be drawn on names ahead of facing City in their season opener in their opening Premier League match of the 2022/23 season, but admits he has multiple injury concerns going into facing the Sky Blues this weekend.
Summer signings Nayef Aguerd is ruled out after undergoing ankle surgery last month, although Moyes kept his cards close to his chest ahead of facing the Premier League champions this weekend.

“We've got quite a lot of concerns but I'm certainly not going to give you them,” said Moyes.

Striker Gianluca Scamacca is unlikely to feature having not played a match since being on international duty with Italy in June. Centre-back Angelo Ogbonna is also unlikely to feature, but will play for the club’s under-23s in Premier League 2 against Fulham this afternoon.
“He [Ogbonna] is playing this afternoon for the U23s, he's played his first 90 minutes last week,” Moyes added. “He's doing really well but he's not ready yet to be considered for the first team. He's coming along nicely and maybe in three or four weeks he'll be much closer to that.
