David Healy 'always feeling the pressure' as Linfield's season suffers another blow

David Healy accepts he's feeling the pressure at Linfield - but insists it's a daily burden that comes with the job.

The Blues boss was on the receiving end on Saturday as his side crashed to a 4-2 defeat against Larne at Windsor Park.

It is the champions' fourth loss in 10 league games this season and leaves them labouring in sixth spot in the Irish Premiership and already 10 points off the top.

Saturday's defeat also comes just eight days after Healy watched his side suffer a 3-0 derby defeat to Glentoran.

Asked if he is 'feeling the pressure personally', Healy told the BBC: "Absolutely. I am under pressure every day. I manage the biggest club in this country.

"There's nobody that puts demands on me like myself.

"The demands and success that we've had before, I understand more than any of them that this club commands the respect of everyone else.

"Pressure comes from within and the 'within' comes from me and as I say, I am the first to hold my hands up."

Linfeld trailed 2-0 after just seven minutes, and despite pulling a goal back before the break it was Larne who stretched away in the second half.

Goals from Lee Bonis and Leroy Millar made it 4-1 before Ethan Devine scored a late consolation to complete the scoring.

Healy said: "We've had it good in terms of the success we've had here. It doesn't give us any divine right to go and be successful this year, because other teams are working harder.

"We've played the top two teams in the league the last couple of weeks and we've been disappointingly beaten on both occasions. So we need to address what we're doing."
