Not for the first time this season, Manchester United’s players came away with little credit after another disappointing display against Leicester City.
Having returned from the international break to resume their pursuit of a finish in the top four, United had the chance to demonstrate there was still some life left in what has been a dismal season. Once again, though, their performance at Old Trafford left a lot to be desired.
Fred’s second-half equaliser ensured they rescued a point after Kelechi Iheanacho’s opener, but they were lucky to come away with the draw, with Leicester having threatened to inflict another defeat on them this season. It’s a result that doesn’t do United any favours as their top four hopes look to be fading quickly.
