David de Gea has promised that Manchester United will do all they can to beat Crystal Palace on Sunday.
It's been an awful season for everyone connected with United, as the club has lurched from one humiliating defeat to the next with alarming consistency. In their last outing, Ralf Rangnick's men were trounced 4-0 by Brighton.
Thankfully, the season finally comes to an end on Sunday as Rangnick takes charge of his final game. While their Champions League hopes have been over for a while, United still need to beat Palace on Sunday to make sure they claim a place in the Europa League.

Should United drop points at Selhurst Park and West Ham win their own final match against Brighton, they will be leapfrogged by the Hammers and will suffer the ignominy of playing in the Europa Conference League. Despite Europa League football being on the line, De Gea has revealed that United's prime motivation to get the three points is to end the season on a positive note for the supporters.
“We know [this season has] been difficult,” he told United's in-house media. “But at least just for [the fans] and for our pride [we will] try to win the game.
“[I want to] at least give a win for the fans because they have been absolutely amazing for the whole season and it’s great to have them at every single game.”
De Gea is one of the few players to have actually emerged from the season with his reputation enhanced, after enjoying one of his best campaigns between the sticks. The Spaniard admitted he's proud of his efforts: “Maybe it is one of my best seasons. I have had very good seasons before, but I think it has been a very good one.”
“It will always have been a tough season for us, but I am very proud of my season, to be honest."
