An alleged victim of David Carrick has spoken out about her treatment at the hands of the serial rapist and once trusted Metropolitan Police firearms officer.

Giving her name as Emma, a middle-class divorcee, she has described how she met Carrick when he grabbed her hand and kissed it declaring ‘I’m going to marry you one day” as she waited for a taxi in Stevenage.

After he forced his number into her phone, the mother-of-three, charmed by his confidence, quickly moved in with him where his campaign of abuse is said to have begun.

She says she was whipped as punishment for supposedly talking to other men and was even forced into the cramped, dark space under his stairs.

Emma says Carrick would brag about the VIPs he guarded during his elite role protecting sensitive sites including Parliament - and took her picture on a visit to10 Downing Street.

She told MailOnline: “I was ridiculed, teased, and shamed. I was told what to wear, what I could eat and what amounts.

“I was instructed to walk behind, not beside or in front. I was whipped; urinated on and locked naked in a cupboard. At times, made to sleep naked on the floor.

“My chest was sat on; I was strangled, kicked, and threatened. Text messages wishing me dead by car crash or cancer were sent, with a desire to ‘piss’ on my grave once dead. I was told I was worthless and would be better off dead.”

Carrick is known to have flashed his warrant card at the start of one date with a woman who later accused him of rape, revealing his force nickname as ‘Bastard Dave’.

Carrick regularly joked about Boris Johnson cycling into Downing Street and sent her pictures of police weapons amid a shocking abuse of his power and status as a once-trusted Metropolitan Police officer.

However, the PC has now admitted 49 charges against 12 women between 2003 and 2020, including 48 incidents of rape, subjecting women to violence and degradation, and controlling behaviour.

Carrick’s unmasking as a serial sexual predator plunged Scotland Yard into a fresh crisis, after it emerged he was cleared to return to work just weeks after first being accused of rape.

Carrick was arrested in July 2021, at a time when Scotland Yard was mired in scandal and facing huge pressure over its culture, particularly over handling allegations of sexual abuse and crimes against women.

Then-Commissioner Dame Cressida Dick publicly insisted that her force was determined to root out rogue officers and reform the force, after a series of damaging scandals.

But Carrick was not suspended or subjected to a fresh round of vetting as a result of the July 2021 rape allegation.

Carrick never made it back on duty, as he faced a second rape arrest and the true extent of his crimes was finally revealed.

Carrick is currently in custody awaiting sentence next month.

Dame Cressida’s successor, Sir Mark Rowley, has unveiled a nine-point plan to clean up the scandal-hit force.
