David Beckham has launched a fundraising appeal for Unicef to support vulnerable children as he prepares to turn 50 next month.

The former Real Madrid footballer, who will be 50 on May 2, is a Unicef goodwill ambassador and in the run-up to his birthday his social media channels will be taken over by inspirational girls from around the world sharing their stories.
