With the New England Patriots now focused on the offseason, center David Andrews revealed that he underwent surgery. Andrews took to Instagram Wednesday to reveal that he had a procedure done on his shoulder.
Andrews was a workhorse for the Patriots despite the injury, as he was limited in every practice from Week 13 through the conclusion of the season. Nevertheless, he played 98.6% of offensive snaps for the Patriots, and continued to remain a strong presence. He only allowed one sack during the time he was on the field.
Andrews is expected to be ready for training camp at the latest, per Jeff Howe of The Athletic.
With the Patriots signing Andrews to a four-year deal last offseason, center should be a position of stability for the foreseeable future.
