Dave Ramsey often gives harsh financial truths to the people to call into his national radio program, the Dave Ramsey Show.
But Friday he had to give a different kind of advice to a distressed woman who called into his show looking for advice on how to sell her home.

The woman said she owns the home where her child and boyfriend both live. With $16,000 in medical and credit card debt, Ramsey's online services suggested that she could potentially walk away with $88,000 if she sold her home.
However, without even getting into the financial aspect of her problem, Ramsey immediately picked up on the quiver in the caller's voice, leading him down a different line of questioning than is typical for his financial advice show.
"I can hear it in your voice. You sound very afraid to me," Ramsey told the caller. "You need to get in the car and go to your dad's house as soon as you get off the phone."
"This is not a house problem and it is not a debt problem. You and your son are in danger. So are you going to sit in the middle of this sewage or are you going to fix it?"
Ramsey urged the woman to stay on the line after the the broadcast of the call ended in order for some of the shows producers to help her get in contact with the police about her boyfriend.
