Dave recently went viral after 'randomly choosing' a teenager from the Coachella crowd to perform with him.
Fans were both excited and confused when he brought 'Spike from London' on stage at the American festival on Sunday, April 17, to perform his and AJ Tracey's hit, Thiago Silva.
It turns out Spike is, in fact, director Richard Curtis ' 18-year-old son.
Richard wrote and directed Love Actually, The Boat That Rocked and About Time. He also wrote Yesterday, Bridger Jones's Diary and Notting Hill.
His sister Scarlett took to Twitter to reveal that the teenager has 'school tomorrow' and proudly shared the viral clip.
"That. Is. My. Brother. Spike. At. Coachella WITH DAVE!" she said. "He’s 18. He has school at 8am tomorrow.
"He was picked out of the crowd. We have never seen him rap before…."
While most Dave and Coachella fans were in awe over the sweet moment on stage, many questioned whether Spike was really 'randomly' chosen from the crowd.
One user tweeted: "Absolutely rocked by the knowledge that Dave picked Richard Curtis' son out of the Coachella crowd?????"
"Does this count as an industry plant?" another tweeted while one said: "Yes…picked out of the crowd “randomly”… Yes, totally believable."
A sceptical fan added: "Nepo[tism] babies never lose," while another added: "Wow what a coincidence that he's the son of a very famous director - what are the chances?!"
Spike's mum, Emma, caught wind of the moment and proudly wrote: "My son. Not the phrase ‘my son’… that’s my actual son. He has school tomorrow."
Most fans took to social media to praise Dave for creating a memorable moment for the teen.
"I LOVE THIS! As a mum of Dave fans I know what this will mean! A memory that will never be forgotten," a user commented.
Another said: "What memories for him already! Glorious!" while one added: "Wow...what a memorable moment."
"Oh my god, speak to the people, brother," a proud Dave said after Spike rapped Tracey’s lines.

The Coachella moment wasn't the first time Dave brought a young fan on stage to rap Thiago Silva.
During his set at Glastonbury in 2019, Dave and 'Alex from Glasto' went viral after the kid nailed the verse on stage.
Alex Mann gained thousands of followers and was even offered a recording contract.
"I’ve had a few labels and a few producers message me, so it could be a thing," he told NME after attending the festival.
Many people also thought the viral moment was staged at the time but Alex insisted it was real.
"I don’t really think there’s any proper response I can give them. Like, it’s their personal opinion," he said.
