Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack has had his say in the SPFL TV deal row ahead of Premiership clubs holding crisis talks over the proposed £150m contract with broadcaster Sky, following comments made by Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson.
The Ibrox man accused those at Hampden of 'underselling Scottish football' in an interview last week after Rangers refused to back a £30 million a year deal with Sky Sports until 2029. Livingston have reportedly joined the Light Blues in failing to respond to the SPFL ’s 'Qualified Resolution' - which would remove the necessity for a waiver letter and needs a 11-1 majority to give a new deal the thumbs up
Robertson pointed to Swedish side Malmo as having a TV deal worth double Scotland’s but Aberdeen's Cormack has hit back: "Our game has some real challenges that we must address but the almost unilateral criticism of this potential Sky deal as soon as it was leaked, devoid of all the facts and context, doesn’t help.
