Two weeks ago, Davante Adams left the Raiders midway through training camp and headed back to Las Vegas in anticipation of the birth of his child. He would miss about half of camp as well as the team’s first preseason game Saturday in Minnesota. But as of today, he’s back with the team, according to head coach Antonio Pierce.
“Davante [Adams] will be here today,” said Pierce on Sunday. “[I] Spoke to him after the game. He’s excited, he watched it and misses his teammates. Glad his baby boy’s here healthy.”
All of the Raiders available starters played in Saturday’s preseason opener Saturday night. So, it’s quite possible we could see him take the field for some snaps when the Raiders play their second preseason game next Saturday against the Dallas Cowboys.
His presence should help the team with their quarterback decision being that on-field chemistry with the number one receiver is very important.
