A daughter made a promise to her dad who died following a long battle with alcohol addiction.
Rikki Finlay, originally from Ellesmere Port, but now lives between Ibiza and London, said her dad, Ian Dodd, died in 2019 following years of battling an alcohol addiction. The 38-year-old said she promised her dad she would do "as much good" and educate people about addiction and the stigmas attached to the illness.
Rikki has bravely shared her story with the ECHO as a child of a parent who suffered from an addiction. She said her dad "wanted nothing more than to be able to switch that button and never pick up a drink again".
