Date set for by-election after rapist MP's resignation

Voters who elected an accused sex offender suspended from parliament will head back to the polls after their first pick was convicted and jailed.

A by-election will be held for the NSW seat of Kiama on September 13, state parliament Speaker Greg Piper announced on Tuesday.
