There they wait in tantalising anticipation. But the first transfer domino is still to fall as Liverpool prepare for a busy few weeks in the market.
While three weeks remain before the window opens across Europe, the signs are the Reds will be in for a busy summer as Jurgen Klopp continues to evolve his squad.
Certainly, new sporting director Julian Ward will be experiencing something of a baptism of fire as he officially replaces the departing Michael Edwards.

Expect some major incomings and outgoings, then. And here is the current transfer state of play with Liverpool.
Coming in
The last few days have made clear that Benfica striker Darwin Nunez has become Liverpool's chief target to bolster their forward line.
Benfica have slapped a €100million (£85.5m) price tag on the 22-year-old, but are willing to consider a bid of an initial €80m (£68.4m) set fee with €20m (£17.1m) in add-on chunks. The Reds are waiting for guarantees over the sale of Sadio Mane before progressing the move.
Nunez, though, is one of a number of names on Liverpool's shortlist as part of a contingency plan should the transfer not be concluded.
Liverpool were interested in Aurelien Tchouameni but had long accepted the Monaco midfielder had set his heart on a move to Real Madrid, with the transfer expected to be concluded in the coming days.
Fabio Carvalho, a 19-year-old attacking midfielder, will officially join the Reds on July 1 after a £5m deal was thrashed out with Fulham, while Liverpool are waiting on 18-year-old Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay to express a desire to move to Anfield before green-lighting a £4m swoop.
England midfielder Jude Bellingham, currently at Borussia Dortmund, is hugely admired by Klopp and the Liverpool recruitment team, but seems unlikely to move this summer with Dortmund having already allowed Erling Haaland to depart to Manchester City.
Liverpool are offering both Naby Keita - who is approaching the last 12 months of his contract - and Joe Gomez new contracts, and will look to continue negotiations with Mohamed Salah, also heading into his final year. James Milner has already signed on for an eighth and most likely final season at Anfield.
On the way out
Sadio Mane is the most prominent likely departure with Liverpool having accepted the Senegalese wants a new challenge after six years at the club. The Reds, though, won't let the 30-year-old go on the cheap, and have turned down two bids from Bayern Munich as they hold on for an offer nearer £42.75m.
Takumi Minamino is available for £17m with Monaco, Southampton, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers having all expressed an interest.
Liverpool will listen to offers of around £10m for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, another out of contract next summer. West Ham United have lodged interest but may first have to raise funds through player sales, while a number of other clubs - including at least one from abroad - are keeping tabs.
Nat Phillips and Neco Williams will both be allowed to leave for around £15m each. Bournemouth are hopeful of signing Phillips on a permanent deal after the defender helped them win promotion to the Premier League having spent the second half of the season on loan, while Fulham are in an identical situation regards Williams.
Divock Origi and Loris Karius were among the senior and Academy players who have been confirmed as leaving on a free transfer at the end of the month. Decisions over possible loan departures for the likes of Conor Bradley, Sepp van den Berg, Leighton Clarkson and Rhys Williams are set to be taken after pre-season.
