Nunez nears Anfield transfer
Darwin Nunez's protracted move to Liverpool is nearing completion.
The Benfica striker has been linked with a move to Anfield and over the past few days, talks between the Reds and the Portuguese club have accelerated with news that a club-record deal is close. Figures of €80m (£68.3m) plus €20m (£17m) in potential add-ons will see the Uruguayan cost more than Virgil van Dijk.
Nunez's arrival could see Sadio Mane's exit edge closer.

Phillips seen as Matip replacement
Nat Phillips is being touted as a long-term replacement for Joel Matip.
Having played a key role in Liverpool's quest of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League in 2021, the defender spent last season on loan at Bournemouth and helped the Cherries earn promotion to the Premier League. This has led to speculation that Phillips could leave for a fee of £15million.
