With Liverpool close to signing striker Darwin Nunez from Benfica, the 22-year-old may have to wait to wear one of his two usual shirt numbers.
The Reds are working towards Nunez undergoing a medical on Monday before the transfer can be completed. But it is understood the Uruguayan has agreed to a six-year contract while the terms of the transfer fee between the clubs have also been finalised.
Benfica have been consistent in their demand of a €100m overall package for Nunez. They had initially wanted €80m up front and €20m in bonuses, figures with which Liverpool were reluctant to do business.
