Darryl Hunt, bass player for the Pogues, dies at 75 in London

Darryl Hunt, longtime bass player for Anglo Irish punk band the Pogues, died Monday at age 72.

Announcing the news on Twitter, the group said they were "saddened beyond words" that their band member was no longer here.

"Our Darryl passed away yesterday afternoon in London," the band tweeted Tuesday. They then quoted fitting lyrics from their song "Love You Till the End," which Hunt wrote: "I know you want to hear me catch my breath/ I love you till the end."
