Darren Till will get a home game in his return from injury with a matchup against Jack Hermansson at UFC Fight Night in London.
Till (18-4-1 MMA, 6-4-1 UFC), who is coming off back-to-back losses and hasn’t since action since September, will face Hermansson (22-7 MMA, 9-5 UFC) in a middleweight bout that was once preciously scheduled to happen in December 2020 before Till withdrew due to injury.
MMA Junkie verified with multiple sources close to the situation that both fighters have agreed to the contest for UFC Fight Night on July 23, which takes place at The 02. The people requested anonymity because the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. The pairing was first reported by MMANytt.se.
Till, No. 13 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie middleweight rankings, suffered a submission defeat to Derek Brunson in his most recent contest at UFC Fight Night 191. He entered the fight with a knee injury, which has kept him out of action since. The 29-year-old is 1-2 since moving up to 185 pounds in November 2019. He holds a victory to Kelvin Gastelum with his defeats coming against Brunson and former champion Robert Whittaker.
No. 7-ranked Hermansson, meanwhile, will look to rebound from a split-decision loss to Sean Strickland at UFC Fight Night 200 in February. The Swede has alternated wins and losses over his past six fights dating back to April 2019.
