It was a haunting moment for David Platt six years ago when he held wife Kylie as she died in his arms - and he could be forced to relive that horror again through her son.
Kylie, played by Paula Lane, was tragically murdered in 2016 by Clayton - Shona's son - after he stabbed her in the street near the kebab shop.
David found her and she lay dying on his lap in utterly heartbreaking scenes.
Next week on Coronation Street, David's struggles with Max continue after Daniel discovers that it was the teen who maliciously shared Nicky's images with the rest of the school.
After the incident with him spiking Amy's drink, Daniel has had enough.
Discovering Max in the street, Daniel rails at him for ruining Nicky's life. David jumps in to defend him, but Daniel is not having any of it and threatens to tell Amy who spiked her drink if Max doesn't tell her himself.
Later on in the week, Max is defiant as he insists to David and Shona that Daniel is bluffing and that he has too much to lose.
However, after Amy misreads an admiring gaze from a boy and throws a coffee over him - believing him to be the one who spiked her drink.
Seeing Amy's behaviour, Daniel tells David and insists that she needs to know the truth.
Will Max tell the truth?
On Friday, Max has a huge falling out with David as he struggles with his guilt over Amy.
After David confiscates his phone, Max fumes that David hates him. David retaliates by saying that his mum would be ashamed of him if she were still alive.
Deciding to run away, Max grabs his things and later makes his way to the barber's to retrieve his phone.
He smashes the glass and climbs in to get the mobile, but when he climbs out he lacerates his leg on the broken glass and collapses in the street.
Will David be able to find Max in time? Or will he be left holding a dying, bloody Max in the street like he did with Kylie?
