Darius Campbell Danesh was not just a singer, movie producer and West End star, he also enjoyed a brief stint on one of Britain's biggest soap operas.
In the middle of his successful music career in the early 00's, the Scottish star made a cameo playing himself in Channel 4's long-running soap Hollyoaks - much to the delight of his fans.
The singer-songwriter appeared on the small screen back in 2003, when starred as himself and paid the fictional village Hollyoaks in Chester to treat students to a rendition of his hit single Girl in the Moon at a graduation ball.
His cameo may have been brief - and aired almost two decades ago - but it clearly stuck in viewers' memories, with an Hollyoaks fan site paying tribute to the star following his death being announced on Tuesday.
The Scottish singer was found dead in his apartment in Minnesota on August 11, his family announced in a statement on Tuesday evening [August 17]. His cause of death remains unknown.
As the news broke - and fans and celebrities rushed to pay tribute - Hollyoaks Wiki took to Twitter to write: "Very sad news about Darius Campbell-Danesh. He made a cameo appearance in #Hollyoaks during the graduation party in July 2003. RIP."
Darius' soap star stint clearly inspired him to branch into TV and movie work full-time, as he moved to America shortly after his Hollyoaks cameo and found a life for himself as a Hollywood film producer.
The late star - who enjoyed friendships with A-Listers like Gerard Butler and Rebel Wilson - produced a number of features over recent years, and was reportedly working on a documentary prior to his untimely death.
His most notable work as a producer came in 2016, when he was named as a co-producer on a gritty horror film starring Harry Potter actor and international star Daniel Radcliffe.
Speaking at the launch of critically-acclaimed Imperium at London's Soho House, Darius described the process of working on the movie as "challenging" but revealed he was "over the moon" with the end result.
"Daniel has given an amazing performance and the story is one I think needs to be told right now, given everybody that's happening in the world," he said of lead Daniel's performance at the film's British premiere in 2016.
"This is a true story of under cover FBI operative Mike German, who blew the lid on, and stopped what was going to be the biggest hit on American soil since 9/11- a dirty bomb designed to kill thousands and start a race war. I hope people enjoy it and are moved by it."
The Colourblind singer's stint as a producer won praise from his peers who tipped him for success, with Bond star Naomie Harris saying at the time: "Huge congratulations to Darius for producing Imperium. A fantastic movie."
Following his parents confirming the sad news he had passed away earlier this month, celebrities including Simon Cowell, Rylan Clark, Pop Idol pal Gareth Gates and many more have rushed to pay tribute to Darius and his incredible career.
The statement shared by his loved ones read: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darius Campbell Danesh. Darius was found unresponsive in bed in his apartment room in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11 and was pronounced dead in the afternoon by the local medical examiners' office.
"The local police department have confirmed that there were no signs of intent or suspicious circumstances. The cause of his sudden death is unknown at this stage while medical examinations continue.
"We ask that you kindly respect our wishes for privacy at this time whilst we come to terms with the tragic loss of our son and brother."
