Darius’ actress ex-wife pays tribute to pop star

With the shock news that Pop Idol star Darius Campbell-Danesh had died many celebrities and friends have been sharing tributes to the singer.Now, his ex-wife Natasha Henstridge has shared her own emotional words and quoted Mother Theresa in her tribute.

Despite the pair being divorced, Natasha Henstridge showed her ongoing love for the star as she shared a string of sweet photos of the pair. She captioned her post: "I have found the paradox that is you love until it hurts. there can be no more hurt- Only more love -Mother Theresa. There are no words Darius… only Love Love Love. Forever Janam."

The pair began dating in 2004 after Darius had moved to America, and the couple tied the knot in 2011. They split two years later before finalising their divorce in 2018. Among the images shared by Natasha was one of the pair taking in a glorious sunset on a beach, while another shot showed the pair with Natasha's two sons, whom Darius was the stepfather.

Natasha, who is best known for her role in the 1995 sci-fi horror Species, also uploaded a photo from their wedding as they posed with their hands in the shape of love hearts, as The Mirror reports.

Other tributes included from music mogul Simon Cowell who said: "I first saw Darius on television over 20 years ago and I got to know him really well. He was charismatic, funny and just a great person to be with. His passing, for someone so young, is an absolute tragedy and my heart goes out to his family and friends."

Before his death Darius was planning a UK return for a Pop Idol reunion, which is due to be hosted by Ant and Dec. Darius's cause of death, on Tuesday, August 16, is currently unknown however police have ruled there were no signs of intent or suspicious circumstances.
