Danny Rose has slammed Tottenham following their Champions League exit to AC Milan. Antonio Conte and his side were met with a chorus of boos from unhappy supporters at full-time as Spurs failed to book a place in the quarter-final.
The north Londoners have now failed to win any of their last five Champions League knockout games since May 2019 when they defeated Ajax during Mauricio Pochettino's reign. Rose, who featured in Tottenham's win over the Dutch giants nearly four years ago, was left baffled by his former club's lacklustre performance.
But, the left-back had to bite his tongue to avoid risking a ban from Hotspur Way. Speaking on Sky Sports, Rose demanded that everybody at the club is held accountable for the miserable evening.

"You say they have the best stadium… you can have the best house but if the furniture's not the best inside then it's irrelevant," the former Tottenham defender said. "Going at the hierarchy… I still look to go into the Spurs training ground so I'll have to be careful what I say but I think that everybody has to be held accountable."
In 2017, Rose launched an attack on Tottenham's recruitment choices in an interview with The Sun. He said: "I am not saying buy ten players, I’d love to see two or three — and not players you have to Google and say, ‘Who’s that?’ I mean well-known players."
Then, on Wednesday evening, Rose revealed that he is, again, unconvinced by the signings Spurs have made in recent years. The England International added: "I heard something recently that the signings have not been great and it's bizarre as I'm sure I said something like that six years ago and got fined two weeks' wages but here we are.
"Everybody has to be held accountable and I think it will be interesting to see where they go from here until the end of the season."
Following the defeat to Milan, Conte claimed on Italian TV that he could be sacked before the end of the season. The Tottenham boss said: "My contract expires in June. We will see — they might sack me even before the end of the season, who knows, maybe they are disappointed."
Then, when further quizzed on his future in the post-match press conference, Conte, remained coy and insisted that he and the club will discuss his future in the summer. He said: "This is not right day to speak about future but my future.
"I have a contract with Tottenham and then Tottenham know very well which is my thoughts and at the end of season we will meet and then we'll make a decision."
