Danny Murphy has praised Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams for his 'tireless' performance in the United States' 1-0 win over Iran on Tuesday.
The USMNT secured their place in the Round of 16 courtesy of Christian Pulisic's solitary strike, and will face Group A winners Netherlands on Saturday.
Adams had more touches (84) than any other player on the pitch, and won six ground duels and three tackles, according to SofaScore. He continued his role as the engine of USMNT's midfield, and his stellar display didn't go unnoticed by Murphy.

"Thoroughly deserved," the BBC co-commentator said in his post-match thoughts. "Some wonderful performances. Musah was teriffic again. Tyler Adams, everywhere, tireless performance from him."
The 2022 World Cup has been a resounding success for Adams. He is the youngest captain at the tournament and also the youngest American captain since 1950.
He has been at the heart of the action for the United States and has already accumulated 34 caps for his nation, with 22 of those coming in the last two years.
