Danny Dyer nicked something from the set of EastEnders ahead of his 'explosive' exit.
The soap legend will be departing his role as Mick Carter this Christmas in some huge scenes, with some fans convinced he might even meet his end. However it ends, bosses have promised that this will be Mick's last day in Walford.
Janine Butcher is set to be exposed in dramatic scenes as Shirley finally rumbles her secret that she constructed the crash scene - but how will it all end and with Charlie Brooks leaving too, will Mick Carter and Janine both make it out alive?
On Lorraine today, as Ranvir Singh and Ria Hebden chatted about what was coming up for the soaps this Christmas, Ria revealed what Danny had nabbed from the set of the BBC soap on his last day as he bows out of the role.
She revealed he took a bar stool from the Queen Vic as a memento from the show.
It comes after Danny revealed the rather X-rated leaving gift he got from the show's cast and crew.
Speaking about the leaving gift he got from the crew, he said: "I got my Albert Square board and they bought me a sign. Basically, I would say, ‘Shall we shoot the c***?’ — meaning the scene. I know it is unpalatable but it is something I would say. Anyway, I've had some issues with my wife about hanging this neon sign in the house The missus ain’t having it. It is in the office at the mo."
Danny admits his exit is very "emotional" for him - but he insists he didn't take it lightly.
"It’s very emotional for me. I’m very attached to this show. It’s been a third of my career. I worked it out. Thirty years I’ve been knocking about in this industry and for nearly 10 I’ve been in this show. To make the decision I made, I didn’t make it lightly because it’s a huge job to walk away from. I thought long and hard about it," he said.
Danny believes Dominic Treadwell-Collins, the show’s producer back in 2013, had taken “a risk” with him and Kellie playing Mike and Linda and adding them to the cast as the new landlords of the Queen Vic and it had paid off.
He added: "I didn’t think I’d last nine years. When I came on to the show I was a f***ing car crash. I can’t believe I got given a shot. My career was f***ing on its arse. I was going to nightclubs, waving off balconies and saying hello to people to pay me f***ing mortgage. I had made a lot of bad decisions, I was in a bad place. Kellie was a bit more well-behaved.
"We came in together and we were obviously on trial – a new family to take over the Vic. We had so much work. We just got our heads down. I think the Carters had our era. I am so proud of that era that we had. All good things come to an end, obviously. I really do appreciate all the years we had, but the show has to change and move on."
