Danish badminton player pulls out of India Open citing Delhi’s ‘extreme pollution’

One of the world’s top seeded badminton players has withdrawn from the India Open tournament in Delhi for the third year, citing “extreme pollution” in India’s national capital.

Anders Antonsen, who is ranked third according to badminton’s top governing body, said in a post on social media that he decided not to compete because of Delhi’s poor air quality.
