Danish designer Stine Goya makes waves in the world of swimwear

Since graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2006, Danish designer Stine Goya has grown her eponymous label to become a Copenhagen Fashion Week heavyweight. But her domination doesn’t stop in Denmark. Last month, the designer was joined by London’s glitterati to celebrate the opening of her new store at 45 Beak Street - an impressive jump from the opening of her first London showroom back in May.

The designer’s latest venture? Making waves in the world of swimwear. Last week, Stine Goya swapped Copenhagen’s canals for Morocco’s Atlas Mountains to celebrate the launch of her beachwear line. Guests included Polly Sayer, Jessie Bush and Megan Ellaby among others, all of whom came ready to party in looks by the designer, ranging from a mesmerising velvet two piece, to a flowing turtleneck dress printed with an elegant floral pattern.

Stine Goya’s mountainous location - the unparalleled Kasbah Bab Ourika hotel - provided the perfect backdrop for swanning around in elegant kimonos, robes and high-waisted chequered bikini sets. The hotel’s decadence contrasted the humility and warmth that Goya exuded herself, regularly vocalising her motivation to continue authentically developing her brand and focus on creating designs that bring joy to the wearer.
