Danilho Doekhi to Rangers transfer path becomes clear as Dinamo Zagreb 'offer' snubbed

In-demand Danilho Doekhi has reportedly knocked back Dinamo Zagreb's contract offer amid interest from Rangers.

The Vitesse defender has been tracked by a number of clubs across Europe as he approaches the end of his deal in the Eredivise.

The Dutch side had put a massive £2million price tag on their captain to scare off potential bids this month.

But the pre-contract option remains open with the 23-year-old in the final six months of his contract.

Zagreb have been named among clubs interested in the centre-back but Doekhi looks set for a deal elsewhere.

24 Zata claim the Croatian league leaders offer has been turned down with Rangers named among the other interested parties.

It leaves a clear path for Gio van Bronckhorst to snap up his fellow countrymen as he looks for reinforcements at the back.

John Souttar has already agreed a pre-contract offer, which could become permanent if a fee can be agreed with Hearts.

Ever-present Connor Goldson looks set to leave in the summer having failed to agree a new deal so far.
