Daniel Bedingfield fans mistake him for busker as he films guitarist playing in Mexico

Daniel Bedingfield left fans mistaking him for a busker in Mexico after he posted a video of a street guitarist.

Daniel soared to fame in the early 2000s with hits like If You're Not The One and Gotta Get Thru This – but the singer took a step away from the limelight.

Daniel, 43, rarely posts snaps of himself on social media and shies away from fame, fans mistook him for a busking musician in a video he posted to his Instagram page.

Daniel shared a short video of YouTuber Nomadic Jurassic, whose real name is Daniel Samways, playing his guitar.

The musician in the clip has shaved the sides of his head and rocks a long mohawk, his ears have multiple piercings.

As Daniel shared the video, he looked ahead to "new beginnings". Some fans then confused Daniel for the musician in the clip, thinking he had drastically changed his look since his 00s pop days.

His debut single Gotta Get Thru This rocketed to number one in the UK chart and number 10 in the Billboard Hot 100 after it was released in 2001.

The album itself reached number two in the UK chart and went platinum five times after selling more than four million copies across the world.
