Roads are "bordering on dangerous" as "large" potholes cause chaos for drivers.
Carl Cashman said potholes have become a "real problem" in Liverpool, particularly in the Church Ward area of Wavertree. Some cars have been seen "bouncing up and down" as motorists worry over their suspensions.
Carl said action needs to be taken now to avoid disaster. He told the ECHO: "It's bordering on dangerous now and getting to the stage where an accident is going to happen. It's going to be dangerous for cyclists and motorists.

"Also for pedestrians, children cross the road and someone could twist their ankle or worse. It's ruining people's cars and I've had cyclists commenting saying it's a popular cycling route for people."
Carl said he has been made aware of "bad" roads including Grant Avenue, Smithdown Road and Childwall Road. One "large" pothole on Fir Lane has been there for "at least a month or two". Carl, who is due to stand as a city councillor, added: "Speaking to people, the roads are really the main problem in the area.
"At the moment, the council is really lacking in solving the issues people expect when it comes to potholes and pavement parking. When it was icy the other week, my car almost slipped and that's when I realised a large pothole (on Fir Lane) and it's still there. It's terrible."
Carl has also raised concerns over inconsiderate pavement parking on Wavertree roads. But as he calls for action, he said: "The roads are bad on Grant Avenue, cars are bouncing up and down and people are worried about their suspension.
"I think the council need to be proactive and listen to residents. Many people are reporting things and are not getting a response. There potentially needs more money putting into the highways budget and making sure there's money there."
A spokesperson for Liverpool City Council said there is often a spike in potholes due to the weather and action will be taken.
They added: "A spokesperson for Liverpool City Council said: "The end of winter will often see a spike in pothole reports due to the accumulative impact of the cold and wet weather over the past few months. We’ve been made aware of these defects and the repairs required have been escalated to our highways maintenance contractor."
Potholes are not uncommon in Liverpool, like elsewhere across the UK, as people previously spoke out about how they put off learning to drive due to the roads. Last year, the ECHO reported how the settling compensation claims relating to potholes and highways costs Liverpool Council £2m a year.
