A motorist has hit out at a 'dangerous' e-bike rider after footage appearing to show an individual running a red light before joining oncoming traffic surfaced. The footage was captured on the busy A52 near Bardills roundabout just after 11am on Saturday, June 4.
The footage shows a bike speeding past a black van and through the traffic light before appearing to head over to a bus lane on the left-hand side of the road and continue with its journey, undertaking other vehicles. According to the motorist, who wished to remain anonymous, the rider was not wearing a helmet and the bike did not have a registration plate.
He said: "I live in Derby but we often go to Beeston for a day out, it's quite a nice shopping area. I got the dashcam for work, really, but it's captured quite a few different things by now. I have definitely noticed an increase in things like this happening, just before this there was a boy racer in an Audi who came speeding past.

"The [e-bike] was heading into Nottingham towards the ring road. I don't know how they think they can get away with it? You have to think that at some point they are going to get stopped by police. It's dangerous. They have to bump into a police car at some point?"
The incident was not reported to Nottinghamshire Police.
