Selma Blair suffered a medical emergency on the set of Dancing With The Stars, but refused to take a break from the show amid her battle with multiple sclerosis.
The 50-year-old, who is well-known for her role in Cruel Intentions, was diagnosed with MS in 2018. It affects her balance and motor skills as well as her memory.
Selma fainted before her weekend rehearsal with professional dance partner Sasha Farber, but she insisted she was okay to go ahead with their dance practice.
Selma said she has a service dog, Scout, to help out in situations like this.
"The thing is, I pass out a lot. It's part of the reason I have Scout.
"It doesn't mean I lose consciousness [or] it's a whole ambulance experience, it's something that I lose my vision, gravity pulls me down and I'm very disoriented and gone for a spell.
"He's kind of there to also catch me, you know, make the ground a little closer with his back," the actor said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Sasha revealed they had scheduled to practice for two hours before calling it quits, but said Selma pushed to continue their session for five hours.
Selma recently reduced her best friend and former co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar to tears as she performed a cartwheel and the splits on Dancing with the Stars.
Selma had danced an energetic jive to Elvis Presley's Jailhouse Rock alongside professional dance partner Sasha Farber.
Following the performance, 45-year-old Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah took to Instagram to gush over the moving routine.
She shared a series of behind-the-scenes snaps as she posed next to her pal and wrote: "I was 'All Shook Up' getting to watch my @selmablair live on @dancingwiththestars.
"@sashafarber1 thank you for all the joy and confidence you have given Blair."
The judges were also taken aback by Selma's performance and had nothing but praise for the star.
"There’s no other way to say it except you make it look so much easier than it must be for you. That is such an amazing feat," said judge Carrie Ann Inaba.
Selma has to deal with debilitating symptoms from her MS, including difficulty in speaking, and losing the ability to use her left leg fully, resulting in her using a cane to walk.
