Congratulations are in order for Dancing with the Stars professionals Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who have announced the arrival of their second child.
In a sweet snap shared to his Instagram on Sunday, Maksim was seen adoringly looking at his newborn, whose face had been blurred out.
"Happy Father's Day to me! #MadeInPeta," the 43 year old dotingly captioned the image.
Maksim and Peta, who are also parents to 6 year old son, Shai, are yet to announce the baby's name or any other details.
Well wishes poured in for the happy couple, with The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown commenting: "Yayy!!"
Amanda Kloots wrote: "Wow what a day! What a gift!" while Rummer Willis added: "Congratulations papa so happy for you guys."
Peta announced her pregnancy in January in a candid Instagram post, in which she also detailed her "constant struggle and heartache" to get pregnant a second time.
She wrote: "It brings me immense joy to finally announce that @maksimc and I are expecting our Chmerkovskiy #2
"After 2 years of constant struggle and heartache, 3 miscarriages and a failed embryo transfer…we have a healthy bun in the oven :)) It was a shock to all of us and we found out right before I was going in for my second round of IVF."
The dance pro continued: I want to thank ALL OF YOU who've been on this fertility journey with me from the beginning. It feels like I'm sharing this news with my extended family.
"This news has brought extraordinary bliss to our family, and we have so much to be grateful for," she concluded.
She also spoke of her miscarries in a June 2022 interview with People, stating she was "embarrassed" and "ashamed" by the experience.
"I'm somebody who prides herself on health and wellness," she told the publication. "I exercise every single day. But as I came to realize, that doesn't really go hand-in-hand with the reproductive system."
Maksim also added: "I never thought that two healthy, athletic people could be in a predicament like this. It's a lot to process."
The couple had long been keen to give their son a sibling, telling Entertainment Tonight in February 2020 that they were starting the process of in vitro fertilization.
Peta gushed: "I don't have any other words but hope and positivity. I'm crossing my fingers that this is going to work."
