A young woman killed in a crash on the M62 was today described as "one of a kind".
Kate Swale was named locally as the 21-year-old woman who was killed in a crash on the motorway in the early hours of Saturday. She was travelling as a passenger at the time of the incident between junction 5 for Roby and junction 6 for Tarbock Island.
A man was also taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which were described as non-life threatening by police. A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Hundreds of tributes have flooded in for Kate through the ECHO's Facebook page, including from her loved ones and friends. Daisy Fredson said: "Life will never be the same. Rest in paradise gorgeous girl, our dancing queen."
Abbie Brady said: "Love you forever and always our best girl. You were one of a kind, nothing will be the same without you."
Laura Anderson said: "Absolutely devastated I looked after my gorgeous little Kate from aged 2-4 years. She was the most amazing little love, stole my heart, still has."
