Dancing On Ice’s Siva Kaneswaran has paid tribute to late The Wanted band member Tom Parker in the semi-final of the ITV1 show. Both him and Klabera Komini opted to skate to The Wanted’s song ‘Gold Forever’.
“I can’t even try to find the words about how I feel about him not being around,” said Siva ahead of the skate. Tom passed away last year aged 33 following a battle with brain cancer. You can read more about that here.
“Tom sings the first line of the song so obviously it’s going to be very hard hearing his voice,” Siva added. “I learnt from being around Tom to use the difficulty and make something positive.”

The skate, itself, was universally praised by judges Christopher Dean, Jayne Torvill, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse. For their performance, Siva and Klabera earned a top score of 36.0. An emotional Siva said following the performance: “This was just a tiny part of how much we all loved [Tom].” Tom's widow Kelsey Parker cheered him on in the audience.
Over on social media, one person wrote: “That was the most magical skate I’ve ever seen and I’m still in tears.” A second then added: “That was so emotional from Siva, great performance and Tom would be so proud.” In a similar vain, a third said: “Siva that was absolutely beautiful! What a perfect tribute to Tom that was!” And a fourth commented: “You most definitely did him proud, he’s with you and I bet he couldn’t believe what he was seeing! Magical.”
