Dancing on Ice's Sylvain Longchambon was rushed to hospital after splitting his chin open in rehearsals.
The professional skater, 42, was practicing his moves with Coronation Street actress Mollie Gallagher, 25 when the nasty accident happened.
According to the ITV show's creative director, Dan Whiston, the celebrities had 'lots of falls' in the lead up to Sunday's show.
The programme has been plagued with injuries since the celebrities signed up for the show last year, including The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran passing out in a freak accident.
And this weekend pro-skater Sylvain was reportedly rushed to hospital after hitting his chin on the ice during rehearsals.
The French skater, who joined the show in 2011, needed to have his chin glued before being able to go back on the ice to perform with Mollie," reports The Sun.
Despite the mishap, the pair impressed the judges in musical week, bagging a score of 28.5 for an emotional routine set to She Used To Be Mine from the musical Waitress.
Mollie and Sylvain skated into the next round as Liberty X star Michelle Heaton got the boot.
Dancing on Ice has been plagued with accidents since the new series got underway.
The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran passed out after cracking his head on the rink during training before Christmas.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press, he said: " Friday just passed, I had a serious fall, I hit the back of my head so I've been diagnosed with a mild concussion as of today. To get back on the ice it can really shake your confidence.
"But I expected this and we're just trying to stay focused and determined and I know that this is part of the whole journey."
Thankfully the singer didn't need to go to hospital and was instead seen by a medic on site.
Meanwhile, TOWIE's Joey Essex revealed he 'almost lost a finger' while rehearsing for his stint on the show.
The reality star, 32, has spent months learning how to skate for the competition, but it proved to be a lot more dangerous than he thought it would be.
Speaking to This Morning's Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, he said: "I'm just happy to be here right now and I'm not at the competition yet. I mean, I nearly lost a finger, I nearly lost a kneecap, a shoulder."
After impressing the judges on Sunday, Joey appeared to confirm he was dating his professional partner Vanessa Bauer
The pair had dressed as Grease characters Danny and Sandy for their routine, with host Holly Willoughby telling them looked like a "real life Sandy and Danny," asking if there's something they wanted to tell the audience.
Joey with his arm around Vanessa, teased: "Danny and Sandy are getting on pretty well, if you know what I mean," before winking, theatrically.
