Dancing On Ice star Ekin-Su returns to training after fears she would miss launch show

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has returned to ice after she feared she wouldn't make it to the hotly-anticipated Dancing On Ice launch show.

Love Island winner Ekin-Su, 28, has already been tipped to win the ITV dance competition with bookies backing the Turkish actress, but earlier this week, Ekin-Su felt like she might not make it to the launch show of the 2023 series.

For the past week, Ekin-Su has been feeling ill, and has had to halt training, but on Saturday, she ensured fans that she'll be showing off her skills on the ice during Sunday's launch show as she took to her Instagram stories to share an exciting update.

While in the back of a taxi, Ekin-Su let her adoring admirers know that she was headed to training as she vowed not to let her sickness hold her back from her dreams of championing Dancing On Ice.

The brunette beauty smiled as she wrapped up from the rainy London weather in the gorgeous snap.

Alongside it, she penned: "En route to training. Getting back on and not giving up just because I'm ill. Bring on tomorrow."

Earlier this week, Ekin-Su had been put on bed rest by doctors and was 'banned' from training just days before the Dancing on Ice launch show.

Almost overnight the Love Island winner fell ill with a fever, after months of rigorous training to prepare for her debut on the first live show this weekend.

Ekin-Su, who is partnered with Brendyn Hatfield on the ITV dance competition, took to Twitter to break the news to her fans: “Very ill. Doctors have told me to rest hopefully I can recover very quickly ready for Sunday."

Her followers were gutted and sent well wishes to the reality star to recover quickly and prioritise her health over being ready for her first routine.

Ekin-Su's boyfriend and fellow Love Island winner, Davide Sancliment, also took to Instagram to share a snap of Ekin-Su wrapped up in bed, as he assured fans he was taking care of her.

“Someone’s home with the fever… in good hands though,” he wrote over the sweet image, as he hugged her in bed.

Her illness comes only days after Ekin-Su glammed up for the photocall to promote the brand-new season of Dancing on Ice.

Thankfully, it seems as though Ekin is back to herself and is determined to show off her stuff on the ice.

Dancing On Ice kicks off at 6.30pm on Sunday, January 15.
