Michelle Heaton has revealed she broke down in tears when given the phone call to say she'd be on the new series of Dancing on Ice.
More than 20 years after she first shot to TV fame on Popstars, Michelle is putting her skates on to take to the rink in the hit ITV show as it makes its return this weekend. When she was confirmed to be on the line-up back in the autumn, Michelle took to Instagram to write: "’m so excited - I can’t believe it. Me and the kids are such huge fans of the show.
"I’ve always wanted to do it but I know I would never have been able to complete anything because of the way I was 18 months ago, so I’m really truly grateful that I’ve got it this year when I’m a lot stronger."

Michelle is busy getting ready for Sunday's first Dancing on Ice live show alongside pro partner Lukasz Rozycki and has opened up about just how much being on the show means to her, particularly after a tough few years, which saw Michelle tackle her alcohol addiction head on with a stint in rehab.
She is now coming close to two years sober and talking about why being on Dancing on Ice has come at the right time for her and how excited her family are, Michelle said: "When I called my husband and told him I got it he was so happy - he’s my biggest supporter.
Faith was with me when I received the call and I cried! Faith said when I was crying that she thought it was bad news and I told her I got it and she hugged me and said ‘I’m so proud of you mummy’."
The Liberty X star added: "My kids are my biggest supporters. You’ll have to tear them away because they’ll be there every week!"
