Dancing On Ice's Connor Ball shares update following injury

The Vamps bass guitarist Connor Ball suffered a nasty fall just before Dancing On Ice went live on Sunday, February 7, leaving him to perform with a bloody and cut chin.

Connor and his professional partner Alexandra Shauman were due to open the show and instead had to perform later as the medics patched Connor up.

This included five stitches to his chin, which then opened up and started bleeding during his live performance, leaving him holding tissues to his chin at the end of the dance.

Connor has now taken to Instagram to update fans on his injuries where he also showed the original shirt and outfit he should have worn before it got covered in blood during the accident.

He said: "Well, that was an interesting night...smashed my face off the ice then scored our highest score so far of the show!"

The pop-star went on to thank the medical team and everyone who helped him with his injury, he said: "Honestly thank you so much to everyone that jumped in to help so quickly, everyone on the show is bloody awesome and I'm lucky to be surrounded by great people."

Connor added: "ps. the last photo is the shirt i SHOULD'VE worn before it got covered in blood".

In the video Connor's chin appears to look better and is no longer bleeding however he has a nasty cut and graze.

And host Phillip Schofield had to miss the live show as he is isolating due to testing positive for coronavirus. He was replaced by Stephen Mulhern - and fans loved his DOI debut.
