Connor Ball bled live on air on Dancing On Ice tonight after a horror fall before the show.
The Vamps star performed his skate this week, earning himself 33 points out of 40, despite injuring himself just minutes before he was about to go on air. He was handed a tissue by one of the production staff as he stood to get his scores and critiques.
The hosts Stephen Mulhern and Holly Willoughby explained that Connor had meant to be skating first on the ITV show tonight, but he bashed his chin just before he was due to go on the ice and they had to rearrange the schedule.
Connor was seen by medical professionals and had stitches, but he still decided to go out and skate.
However, he still managed to secure himself a good score as judge Christopher Dean admitted a similar thing had happened to him in the past. Showing off his own scar, Chris told him: "Welcome to the club."
Ending up with blood on his costume, Connor held a tissue to his cut as Stephen assured viewers at home that Connor would be seen by a paramedic as soon as he stepped off the ice.
It is not the first injury the show has seen this series.
Earlier in the series, Rachel Stevens injured her wrist in a fall during training and was forced to miss the first week of the show.
"I actually wasn't with Brendyn at the time of the fall," she told The Mirror and other press as she opened up about the fall, "I was with my coach a couple of weeks before Christmas. I fell quite a few times, obviously as you do - you're trying to push yourself out of your comfort zone. And I just fell and it hurt and obviously I didn't know what I'd done."
And Kye Whyte was forced to miss last week's show after picking up an injury.
"It’s an unfortunate accident. I’ve trained and worked hard with Tippy to perform this weekend. For me, as an athlete, I’m used to stuff like this happening where you get injured and can’t compete," he said in a statement at the time.
"I’m more sad for Tippy, she’s worked hard so not being able to skate is obviously upsetting. We both really wanted to do this number, it’s a cool performance and we put a lot of effort into it. I was so happy and excited for everyone when they skated last weekend. I was watching and couldn’t wait to skate this Sunday. I’ll be there cheering everyone on!"
