Former Dancing On Ice star, Brianne Delcourt, has opened up about her baby daughter recently being hospitalised with pneumonia.
Professional skater Brianne, 41, shares seven-month-old Keavy Anne with former footballer Kevin Kilbane, 45. The pair met when they both took part in the 2020 series of the celebrity skating contest, being paired up together.
Brianne took to social media to speak about the family’s recent ordeal, saying Keavy Anne’s hospitalisation “took us all down”.
She confirmed that her daughter is now healthy and back at home.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Brianne wrote: “I can't tell you how happy I am (and we all are) to see Keavy Anne smiling and being her happy self again.
“Keavy Anne was hospitalized about a week and a half ago with pneumonia and it literally took us all down.
“This little 7-month-old is the sweetest, happiest and toughest little baby girl and to see her so sick just killed me!
“I'm hoping we have turned a corner but I would like to say thank you to all my besties who have helped me out recently and have checked in and was there for support.”
Brianne took the opportunity to send thanks to her loves ones who supported her throughout the difficult time, calling Keavy Anne her “strong girl”.
She continued: “I have some amazing people in my life and a great community I live in too and I'm so grateful for you all.
“Being a single momma for 5 weeks hasn't been fun with 3 little sick ones and I take my hat off to any single parent with 3 kiddos doing it on your own.
“Kudos to you and please always reach out if you ever need me! Serious!!!! Keavy Anne, you are my strong girl and your sisters are so happy you are giggling and kissing again."
Keavy Anne is Brianne and Kevin’s first child. They revealed their pregnancy in September last year, alongside their recent wedding.
They married at Bonnie View Inn in Haliburton, however, due to the Covid-19 safety regulations, they were unable to have any guests with them from the UK.
And so, their nuptials were attended only by Brianne's daughter from a previous relationship, Gracie, her immediate family, and two friends.
The pair said they are hoping to have a second wedding ceremony in Ireland at some point.
