Michelle Heaton has been announced as the latest name competing in this year's Dancing On Ice.
The former Liberty X star, 43, revealed the news on Lorraine today as she talked about her addiction hell, admitting that she can't believe she's able to compete considering how her body had been 18 months ago.
She has now been 18 months sober and feels healthier than ever, believing that she's finally at the stage where she can compete.
Michelle has been incredibly honest about her battle with her drink and drug demons, often sharing photos of herself prior to going sober to show the brutal reality of her situation.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on the ITV programme, she said: "I’m so excited - I can’t believe it. Me and the kids are such huge fans of the show in general. I’ve always wanted to do it but I know I would never have been able to complete anything because of the way I was 18 months ago, so I’m really truly grateful that I’ve got it this year when I’m a lot stronger.”
She thanked Lorraine for all of her support throughout the years, to which the host insisted that she had done it all herself.
"It's just one day at a time - that's how I've taken it," Michelle said.
She is the 10th celeb to be announced and will be joining DJ Patsy Palmer, football legend John Fashanu, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, Coronation Street ’s Mollie Gallagher, Drag Queen and TV personality The Vivienne, TV personality Joey Essex, comedian Darren Harriott and Carley Stenson.
TOWIE star Joey Essex revealed that he was taking part in the show last week on Friday's This Morning.
He told hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary: "I'm so happy, I'm so excited. It's more serious to what I normally do, I've done all the dating shows in the world. This is a bit more serious for me."
