Dancing on Ice host Holly Willoughby shines in navy halter neck gown for musicals week

Holly Willoughby looked fabulous, as she launched Dancing on Ice's musicals week.

The TV presenter, 41, wore a sensational navy halter neck gown, as she hosted the ITV show alongside Phillip Schofield, 60, who looked dapper in glittering blazer.

Holly wore her hair loose, while her make-up was flawless and minimal.

Now in its third week, the ice skating competition is set for a major format change, as for the first time in the show's history and for this week only, there will be no skate off between the two lowest ranked celebrities.

The format change is set to ramp up the pressure on the ice, as the scores from the judging panel will be combined with the public’s votes and the lowest ranked couple will leave.

As a result, the famous faces will not be able to rely on being saved by the judges if they find themselves bottom of the leaderboard.

Earlier this evening, Holly had referenced the format change on Instagram, as she gave followers a sneak peak of her gorgeous outfit.

Sharing a picture of herself smiling in her blue gown, Holly wrote: "It’s musicals week on @dancingonice … big night tonight, no skate off!!! Your votes are sooo important…Brutal!!!"

It comes after Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu landed in the dreaded skate off with John Fashanu, who ultimately became the first to be eliminated alongside his professional partner Alexandra Schauman.

John had joked seconds before the result was announced that he knew he hadn't done enough to stay on the show, while Ekin-Su was visibly relieved to make it through after a tough first week.

She had vowed to prove herself in the skate-off, working hard after being left "upset" over the public vote the week before.

The TV star, 28, recreated her notorious villa crawl during the routine, which host Holly described as the show's 'sexiest ever skate'.

However, her performance and daring outfit sparked 112 complaints to the TV regulator, as viewers at the time claimed it was 'not appropriate' before the watershed.

Ekin-Su scored a total vote of 21.5 points from the judges, as Ashley Banjo gave her a 5.5, Oti Mabuse scored her a 6, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean both a 5.

Following Ekin's victory in the skat-off, judge Jayne Torvil admitted she was surprised by the outfit choice, but praised Ekin-Su for putting all into her performance and said she was the right person to go through following the skate-off.

Speaking on ITV's Loose Women, Jayne said : "I was a little bit surprised, I have to say, but it was in keeping with the song and the Love Island connection so I see how that was.

"But she's a really lovely girl and she's taken it all on board. And in her skate off, she definitely deserved to go through."

The celebs remaining, besides Ekin-Su, are The Only Way Is Essex star Joey Essex, Coronation Street actress Mollie Gallagher, Liberty X star Michelle Heaton, comedian Darren Harriott, The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran, EastEnders star Patsy Palmer, RuPaul's Drag Race winner The Vivienne, Hollyoaks actress Carley Stenson and former Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson.
