The biggest crowd of this year's event so far is set to pack out Bents Park on Sunday as South Tyneside Festival stages an epic Dance Revival, featuring Whigfield, Sonique and more.
The annual Sunday concerts in South Shields are back after the Covid pandemic thwarted plans for two years in a row and they have been a huge hit with spectators so far, with thousands of music fans flocking to the seaside to see Will Young kick things off earlier this month, before a reported audience of around 20,000 filled the park to see Ella Henderson in action this week.
But it's the Dance Revival concert on Sunday, July 24 that looks set to be the biggest draw of the concerts to date, as all priority tickets, which give people the chance to get in early to bag a prime viewing spot, were sold out with days to go. As soon as the line-ups for the shows were released it was this weekend's that got people talking the most as Saturday Night icon Whigfield tops the bill, a staggering 28 years since she shot to number 1 with the worldwide dance phenomenon.
