Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller holds back tears as she shares 'bittersweet' news

Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller has revealed she is selling her dance studio and described the decision as "bittersweet".

The 57-year-old shared an emotional video on Instagram as she told fans the building will be transformed into "a wonderful place for the community".

Abby held back tears and said she "could not be prouder" of what she has achieved over the years but said it was time to say goodbye to the Pittsburgh studio she has resided over since 1993.

Speaking in the clip, she said: "Yes, it is true. It is very bittersweet for me. I sold my property.

"I didn't sell my name, I didn't sell my brand, I didn't sell my life's work. I sold brick, mortar, cinder blocks and an amazing dance floor that is still in mint condition. The best floors that I ever stood on.

"But I'm not standing right now and I'm not in Pittsburgh teaching. I'm all over the world teaching. It was time."

She added: "I'm very proud to say that my studio, my building, the property that my parents gave me their life savings to buy is going to a very great business.

"That's right, it's going to somebody that needed it, somebody that wanted it."

Abby continued: "Times have changed and the school bus garage which has been right next door to me all these years, the buses that I rode to school on, they are taking over my property and the dance studio will be used as a day care centre.

"So there will still be children, it will be happy, it will be fun. It will be a wonderful place for the community and I could not be prouder."

Finishing her video, she said: "I loved every moment in that studio, even the rough ones and the heart-breaking ones. They were important to me, but all good things come to an end."

Captioning the post, Abby added: " I am forever indebted and grateful to have the decades of memories in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the original ALDC."

Fans offered their support to the star, with one person writing: "Well said Abby!!! Wishing you all the best!!!"

Another wrote: "Glad to hear that children’s feet will continue to walk through an iconic cinderblock building engrained in not only dance but Pittsburgh’s history."

"It made me tear up to think of new kids running through those halls. So grateful for all you’ve done for us Miss Abby," penned another.
