There’s nothing like the days that follow the first week of NFL action, when just about everyone overreacts to anything and everything they saw take place in Week 1.
Bills QB Josh Allen, for instance, is being dragged by a lot of people after throwing three interceptions in Buffalo’s surprising loss to Zach Wilson and the Jets on Monday night.
Suddenly one of the best quarterbacks in the league is being talked about like he doesn’t know how to play the position anymore and can’t be trusted to lead his team to a Super Bowl. All that, despite the fact that he’s a tremendous talent who has made the Bills contenders for the past few years.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith is one of those people doubting Allen after one bad game. Smith got into it with Dan Orlovsky on Thursday’s First Take and following the segment the former QB had the perfect take on all of these wild arguments after just one week of the season:
We gotta slow down with the talk this week https://t.co/27JlwgMlX3

Here, here.
Again, Allen is one of the best QBs in the NFL and will likely bounce back this week and put all of this silly talk in the past.
At least Bills fans hope he will.
